Q: What are the dates for the Renegades Spring Season?

A: Practices will begin mid to late January weather permitting. Tournaments will

begin mid to late February, again weather permitting. The season will go through

June, with each team playing between 8-10 tournaments.

Q: What is the cost for each player?

A: The cost is $1,250. The costs cover uniforms, tournament entry fees,

coach pay, umpire fees, field rental, etc.

Q: What if my player makes the team but we cannot afford the cost to play?

A: The Hill Country Renegades are strong believers in that no player worthy of making

a team should miss an opportunity to play due to monetary reasons. Money should

NEVER be a reason your player be prevented from learning high level baseball. Never.

If you have a monetary concern, please email hcrenegadesbaseball@gmail.com your

inquiry will be taken seriously and handled discreetly.

Q: Where we will be playing this Spring?

A: Scrimmages may be arranged for play in Burnet, Marble Falls, Bertram, etc.

Tournament game location will be dictated by PG Baseball. Locations typically

include Cedar Park, Dripping Springs, Austin, San Marcos, etc.

Q: Our player has only ever played in local league ball. What is USSSA baseball?

A: PG Baseball is an organizational entity that arranges for select baseball teams to

participate in tournament style baseball competition. For more information about

PG Baseball go here: www.perfectgame.org

Q: Where will Hill Country Renegades be conducting outdoor practices?

A: There will be several locations for practice with the main location for field practices being

at the YMCA fields in Burnet. Additional field options exist and may be utilized in

Bertram and Marble Falls.

Q: What about indoor practices?

A: The Hill Country Renegades are excited that a new indoor practice facility, to

accommodate cages and workout areas, is in the process of being built. However, it’s

not certain as to how soon the facility will be erected. For this Spring season the Hill

Country Renegades has options on cages to work on days with inclement weather and

information about locations for each team will be disseminated at the time it becomes

necessary.

Q: What age group will my player be placed in?

A: For spring and summer play, PG uses the players age as of May 1st. So, for example if

your player is 8 on 5/1 then they are 8U eligible. If they turn 9 on April 30th, they’d be

required to play in 9U.

NOTE: Often times we will have players play up an age group to supplement a team or

to have that player compete at the level at which they are capable.
